Lumineers in New York

Lumineers in New York

Lumineers are porcelain veneers that are used to brighten and provide cosmetic alignment to the teeth. Lumineers differ from other brands of porcelain veneers because they are stronger and thinner. Lumineers have a thickness of about 0.3 millimeters, whereas other porcelain veneers tend to be about 0.5 millimeters thick. Thus, an advantage of Lumineers is that they can be easily applied to the teeth without the extensive preparation work and tooth trimming that typical veneers require. Lumineers can transform your smile into a natural and beautiful smile. They are a painless cosmetic solution for teeth that are discolored, misaligned, chipped, or stained.

Yelp Profile - Luxury Dentistry NYC

"My smile is very important to me. I never really had huge issues with my teeth but I did have some spacing that I was not happy with. Deciding to get invisalign was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The hard part was finding a facility that would tend to my needs and make me feel at home. I researched for quite some time before actually picking a place, but I finally ended up choosing Luxury Dentistry.”

Your dentist will not have to cut, file, or grind away any teeth before applying Lumineers in their proper position. They can be used to extend the life of existing porcelain veneers and bridgework that have lost their shiny appearance. Lumineers can be placed on top of earlier porcelain veneers without any preparation to provide a fresher look. The Lumineers process is quite simple and pain free. During your initial consultation with the dentist, an impression of your teeth will be made and sent to a laboratory that will prepare your custom veneers. Before applying the veneers, your teeth may be moderately etched. Then, with the help of a curing light, the dentist will bond the Lumineers to your teeth.

After application of the Lumineers, you will need to take some extra precautions with your teeth, as is the case with traditional veneers. You should not eat sugary foods too frequently, as this will lead to more rapid tooth decay. Regular flossing and brushing of the teeth is required. You will need to schedule four maintenance appointments each year, during which your dentist will check your Lumineers and polish the teeth margins to enhance the lifespan of the Lumineers. Never use abrasive toothpastes as they may scratch the teeth margins. Additionally, you will need to use a mouth protector if you participate in contact sports.

The massage during treatment was a great distraction. Everyone was wonderful and gave detailed answers for my concerns

People typically decide to get Lumineers to improve the cosmetic appearance of their teeth. Enamel discoloration, which can be caused by drinking certain beverages, side effects of medications, and corrosive foods, can be concealed using Lumineers. Fractures and erosion of the teeth often result in chips and cracks on the tooth’s surface, which gives an uneven appearance to the teeth. Lumineers can provide a more uniform appearance to your smile. Even wide gaps between teeth can be corrected using Lumineers. With proper care, Lumineers can last up to 20 years. To prolong their long life, you should avoid chewing large amount of sticky and hard foods.

If you tend to grind your teeth at night, then Luxury Dentistry NYC will provide you with a night guard to protect your teeth during the night. It is important to consult an experienced and skilled dentist if you are interested in getting Lumineers. The dentist will inspect your teeth and customize your Lumineers according to your cosmetic goals. Lumineers are an alternative to painful treatments, surgery, and the use of harsh chemicals to whiten and align your teeth. In order to be eligible for Lumineers, your teeth, gums, and bones should all be healthy.
